Jen Watkins

B.Mid, BA, Adv Dip CBE. 

Jen Watkins is a Registered Midwife and qualified Childbirth and Parenting Educator.

With more than twenty years of experience, Jen has a special interest in birth, breastfeeding and parenting education and support, and is passionate about making the journey through pregnancy, birth and into parenting a positive one. She also works as a midwife at Mt Barker Hospital across all areas of maternity and neonatal care and providing care to gynaecology clients after surgery.

When not working as a midwife, you might find her with her family at a local winery or riding her mountain bike through the beautiful Adelaide Hills.

Jen works alongside our obstetricians providing pregnancy and postnatal care and assistance across the clinic. She can also help with pregnancy preparation and breastfeeding support.

Ruth Murphy

Registered Midwife

Ruth describes herself as a ‘Mid-life Midwife’. After spending many years as a business owner, Ruth went on to study midwifery in her 40’s when her youngest child went to school.

Ruth has loved working as a midwife since 2015 and is passionate about providing quality women/family centred care. Although you will also generally find Ruth working in the maternity unit at Mt Barker Hospital.

Away from work Ruth loves spending time with her adult children, husband and friends.
