Menopause & Perimenopause
Managing menopause is not as simple as treating hot flushes. We believe that all women deserve to feel well, be strong, be symptom free and live through their peri menopausal and menopausal years with vibrancy.
We can help with symptom of perimenopause and menopause such as sleep disturbances, mental health changes and anxiety, hot flushes, low energy levels, joint aches, low libido, memory issues and brain fog. These symptoms can start 5-10 years prior to stopping your menstrual cycle and continue for some years after. In a small number of women they have persistent symptoms for many decades without treatment.
We have a holisitc multi-disciplinary approach to menopause management. You will treated as an individual with your goals kept at the forefront of all our recommendations. We aim to provide management that aims to both treat your current symptoms but also prevent many other age related medical issues.
Your journey will usually start with Dr Sarah Parker a GP who has a special interest in menopause management. Depending on your specific circumstances you may see Lara Nowland (Women’s Health Dietician), Dr Marion Andrew (Medical Hypnotherapist) or one of our Women’s Health Physiotherapists. Sometimes you will need to be seen by our team of Gynaecologists.
You do not need a referral to access this service but many women are referred to us by their usual GP seeking our additional help with this specific issue. We work in collaboration with your usual GP and provide them with a comprehensive summary and plan.
